More problems with the Ring Video Doorbell as a recall has been issued.
There’s been a product recall involving the Amazon Ring doorbells. The Consumer Product and Safety Commission on their website has posted a recall for the 2nd Generation of the Ring Doorbell. Unfortunately, the doorbells may catch fire. Since your safety is top priority, if you’ve purchased a Ring doorbell, we encourage you to check to see if your doorbell is impacted by this recall. If it is, please disconnect the doorbell immediately.
Amazon, the owner of the Ring Doorbell is no stranger to problems. In 2019, they came under fire for hacking issues with their system. Earlier that year, it was found that Amazon employees although they were authorized to view video data, their “attempted access to that data exceeded what was necessary for their job”, according to USA Today.
